As requested by many of you, it’s now possible to use certificates in applications instead of a client secret when elevating a session or creating an app session. With a continued focus on enhanced security, we’ve also introduced an additional collaboration security option: the ability to generate and store a secret key in an Azure Key Vault when configuring a tenant.
We’ve swapped out the MFA-PowerShell-based data features in Users for their MS Graph API equivalents, following Microsoft’s deprecation of that PowerShell module.
You’ll also see that we’ve combined the ALL JOBS and My Jobs sections into a single section called Jobs. Additionally, we’ve brought together all scheduled tasks—Jobs, Quick GridView, and Summary reports—into one consolidated list on the Dashboard, making it easy to see everything set to run in sapio365.
Highlights include:
Take a look at Quick GridView templates
Have you spotted the ‘Need ideas?’ prompt in the top right corner of Quick GridView? Browse through the templates and apply one to run or schedule a Quick GridView.
Update group members in Entra AND on-premises in the same view
You can now copy members directly between cloud groups like Teams and on-premises synced groups, in either direction. This means there’s no longer a need to use the ‘On-prem Members’ or ‘On-prem Group Memberships’ submodules for managing memberships—unless you’re handling owners.
Choose which Additional Info you want to load
Gone are the days of loading the entire kitchen sink when all you need is a user’s manager name! Now you can get your information more quickly by choosing exactly what to load for the users and groups you select.
Copy files directly to a OneDrive, Group or SharePoint Site library
There’s no need to download and upload files in separate steps anymore. With the more efficient ‘Copy to’ feature, you can copy files or entire folders directly to a target OneDrive, Team/Group, or SharePoint Online site—no matter where the source is. You can even target a specific folder, including one tied to a channel.
See which groups and files have sensitivity labels applied
If your groups and documents have sensitivity labels applied, sapio365 allows you to view them. To see the labels on your groups specifically, make sure to load the Additional Info option.
Analyse Last-sign information faster
We’ve introduced a quicker way to retrieve Last Sign-in details for all users in the tenant. Alternatively, you can narrow it down by choosing exactly who to refresh this information for using the new ‘Additional Info – Last Sign-In’ load option.
See group mailbox properties
You can now use the Mailbox Info button to retrieve mailbox details for the Microsoft 365 groups you select. This includes quotas, delegates, holds, forwarding addresses, and more.
Additionally, you can also get ‘Send as’ delegates for distribution lists and mail-enabled security groups.
Create a shared Teams channel
You’re now able to create a shared Teams channel. Just be patient with Microsoft when saving the new entries—you might need to refresh a few times afterward!
See when Microsoft 365 groups expire
If you have an expiration policy applied to some of your Microsoft 365 groups, you’ll now see the groups’ ‘Expiration Date Time’ right when you launch Groups. For more details on specific groups, simply use the ‘Additional Info – Expiration Policy Info’ option.
Remove delay holds on mailboxes
When you remove a litigation hold from a mailbox, a delay hold might still be in place, blocking the mailbox’s deletion. Now, you can clear ‘Delay hold’ and ‘Delay release hold’ by setting their values to False. Just be sure to retrieve them first using ‘Mailbox Info’ before making any updates.
Search the full body content of emails
Trying to locate a hidden element within the body content of thousands of emails? It’s now incredibly easy! We’ve added the full email body as a column in the Messages submodule, so you can simply apply a text filter on the Body Content column — or use the “Find All” option.
Share your license costs with others
If you’ve enabled sapio365 collaboration, you can centralise the way you set unit costs for your Microsoft 365 licenses in specific tenants. You’re also able to define the relevance of certain licenses. Keep in mind that this task can be delegated to a non-global admin by using the ‘Can set license prices’ sapio365 restriction role.
See more details in User Activity Logs
Available from the backstage or via the shortcut under RBAC, sapio365 User Activity Logs now show even more—like Job runs, additional session details, shared comments, and records of when a custom View, Job, or Report is shared, unshared, or modified.
See who’s using Microsoft 365 apps, Forms, or the Microsoft Graph API
Pick from three new Usage Reports: Microsoft 365 apps usage, Forms Activity, and Microsoft Graph API usage. Feel free to enrich and combine the first two with other user-based activity reports!
Conceal or reveal names in reports
You no longer have to wonder why your usage reports display random numbers instead of names! sapio365 now shows you the status of the setting that hides names in reports — along with how to disable it.
Strengthen collaboration security with a Key Vault on Azure
You now have the option to generate a secret key when setting up a tenant and store it in an Azure Key Vault, adding an extra layer of security to sapio365 collaboration. Accessing key vaults requires authentication, and an admin can enforce strict policies on who is allowed to use a specific key.
Authenticate with a certificate instead of a client secret
You can choose to use certificate-based authentication instead of secret-based authentication for your elevated or app sessions. For sessions already in place, just click the button to make the switch.
